Facilities
The Parish of Christ the King was founded by Rev. Msgr. Ronald A. Tosti in 1984. Our present Pastor is Rev. Msgr. Daniel Hoye. The Parish serves the Catholics in the Town of Mashpee as well as the Villages of Cotuit and Marstons Mills of the Town of Barnstable. All of this territory was previously served by Our Lady of the Assumption Parish in Osterville and its mission chapels of St. Jude in Cotuit and Our Lady, Queen of All Saints, in Mashpee.
Our present parish complex was completed in 1989 and dedicated on the Feast of Christ the King of that year. With the 1,100 capacity Federal Style Church as its centerpiece, the complex also includes the Chapel of St. Jude that was relocated from Rt. 28 in Cotuit, a parish hall, Faith Formation center, parish offices and residence. Located on a knoll overlooking Mashpee Commons, the nearly eight-acre site has a number of gardens as well as a picnic and recreation area. Designed by the firm of Holmes and Edwards, the interior design was executed by Joan Shields and all of the artwork is original. The Parish Community is one that is most welcoming and it is hoped that all of the information in this presentation will be of service to you as you join the community of faith known as The Parish of Christ the King.
